There are so many voices seeking to influence us. Voices of fear and anxiety. Voices of not being good or smart enough. Voices of jealousy and insecurity. It can be difficult if not impossible to block them out.
How would we live life differently if we weren’t defined or controlled by these unhealthy voices? What if the voice of Jesus - who speaks life, affirmation and sufficiency and hope, were to cut through this noise and bring clarity to our souls?
‘Elevate’ is our Phoenix Fest theme this year. In each of our six high-energy and engaging sessions, we’ll share stories about how we can elevate the voice of Jesus in our lives as we take a closer look at Romans 12:1-2.
It is our hope that Phoenix Fest 2023 will bring moments of transformation for you and your students.
After each main session, students gather with their youth groups for small group discussions and prayer. It's here the teaching becomes personal and practical. Leaders engage directly with their students and can follow-up with them throughout the weekend and beyond!

GENEVIEVE EPPMeet Gen - A tiny human who loves Jesus! Gen has done everything from being a family pastor to working with the Ontario Government to cutting grass at a large cemetery. Gen is currently completing her Master’s degree and is on the Evangelical Missionary Church of Canada’s Next Gen leadership team.
A lover of reading, trying new foods (currently Pad See Ewh Thai Food is her fave!), hanging out with students, which is why she co-leads a great group of grade 10 girls at her church, and walks on the beach, but most of all, she loves her family! Gen first met Jesus when she was a teen - a time that was really difficult for her - and He became very real to her. Her heart always is that others will be awakened by Jesus and they will experience the joy of being in His family. |

KEMAHEE BAKERMeet Kemahee - a multi talented dancer, artist and speaker. Kemahee teaches dance workshops at churches, conferences and schools throughout ontario. Kemahee’s art business was curated after she began to explore painting as a form of art therapy after a car collision left her with chronic pain. During her time of rehabilitation, she discovered she had a God given talent for art, and used art as a means to cope with the pain and as cathartic expression.
Kemahee uses her artistic gifts as a means to inspire and encourage others to use their God-given gifts for the Kingdom of God. Her central motivation behind her messages is the verse from Romans 8:28 “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose.” |
