A recent survey asked students to describe in one word how they felt about life. Four words appeared more than any others: overwhelmed, chaotic, hopeless, pointless.
In this culture, it is common to use a GPS to get directions that will take us right to our destination without a problem...but real life is a lot more challenging! Without using the proper navigational tools in their lives, the challenges students experience can seem overwhelming and cause them to question whether they will make it through.
Jesus navigated his life based on the values of humility, selfless love, presence, honesty and justice. These values allowed him to overcome many storms in his live and leave a legacy of resilience that’s still felt today.
We believe that if students start centering their lives around the values of Jesus they will be more prepared to make changes personally and in the world around them - as they follow in the way of Jesus.
Our 2020 main session teaching, workshops, and small group conversations will encourage students to navigate their lives centred on the values Jesus lived.
While our main session communicators are excellent, we place priority on doing deeper learning with our own youth groups. After each main session, students gather with their youth groups for small group discussions and prayer. It's here the teaching becomes personal and practical. Leaders engage directly with their students and can follow-up with them throughout the weekend and beyond!
