I Am A Temple
Joshua Luke Smith
Did you not know... You are a Temple of the Holy Spirit? You are not your own.
Corinthians 6:19 I believe this question, penned thousands of years ago has the power to transform the way we define our humanity. These ancient words are a call to revolution, the manifesto of a resistance, the witness that the Divine is using us, yes us, in all our contradiction, confusion and chaos, to rebuild what the empire tore down. We are the Temple, the evidence that God’s presence is not afraid of the trenches, that hope will have the last word and every moment matters. This workshop will equip, empower and challenge us to live like every moment matters, we’ll create a unique manifesto for our lives and explore how we can use our voice, the work of our hands and every part of our life to change the world around us. |

Rules Ruling vs Rules Serving
The Bible on Love, Law, & Wisdom Isaiah Ritzmann
Let’s be honest: no one really knows what to do with the law in the bible. Are its rules and regulations meant for all time? Or did Jesus free us from these laws? In this workshop we explore how Jesus neither threw out the law nor simply reinforced it: instead Jesus taught that the law was not an end in itself but a means to a more loving world. The problem for Jesus and his early followers is when the rules ruled rather than served humanity, and when the law became not an instrument of but a barrier to love.
